Keene State College has a strong commitment to sustainability with a goal of attaining a Gold rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). AASHE (the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education) is an organization that accredits colleges with bronze, silver, gold and platinum STARS according to the sustainability practices on campus. In 2015, KSC adopted an ambitious goal: to achieve the GOLD STARS rating for higher-ed sustainability by the end of 2020. At last submittal to AASHE, KSC received a silver rating with a score of 56.42 points. Here are some of the steps that will bring us to gold!
